Anything urgent should always be a phone call in which you speak to your midwife. An emergency where you or your baby are in danger
should be a call to 911.

Examples of urgent:

Labor
-
Decreased fetal movement in third trimester (taking

more than 2 hours to count 10 movements or having a full hour, while paying attention,

of no fetal movement)

Vaginal bleeding
-
6 or more preterm contractions in an hour,
-
Concerning medical symptoms that are not safe to wait for the next business day to discuss.

For all non-urgent matters: There are two ways of contacting us.

Use the chat function which is represented by the speech bubble icon in the Mobile Midwife app. Make sure you have your notifications turned on so that you can be notified when we reply or send you a message this way (for instance, if we are at a birth and need to reschedule your appointment).

Responding to a message (which comes to your email) that we sent through Mobile Midwife. You can respond through your email to any email message that we have sent you through your chart. You can edit the subject line to start a new topic.
